In a bizarre crossover event that challenges usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Disclosed

According to the official release, "A mysterious encounter pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where whispers of prohibited practices and fearsome metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a fearsome enemy" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Familiar Locations and Changes

The preview features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features

Players who finish the quest will obtain an exclusive katana alongside numerous artifacts hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Newest Free Story Update

This patch also adds the game's third no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." True to its name, "The Enigma" also features a fresh environmental puzzle that may ultimately shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
